• Guide for Authors that explains how to prepare your camera-ready manuscript: the guide itself serves as an example ( MS-WORD document only).
  
  • The camera-ready copy should not exceed four pages (ten pages for invited speakers.) Up to two additional pages will be allowed with extra payment at the time of registration. Extra charge is 10,000 yen for each additional page. Authors outside Japan can also pay by a credit card. We do not accept personal checks.
    The proceedings are printed in black and white. If you use color figures, we recommend printing them in gray-scale beforehand and checking their appearance. The proceedings CD can include color figures.
    
  • We recommend that you produce a PDF version of your submission well before the final deadline. Besides making sure that you are able to produce a PDF, you will need to check that (a) the length of the paper remains within the page limit, (b) the PDF file size is 3 megabytes or less, and (c) the file can be read and printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader.
• Copyright Transfer Form that must be signed and submitted by fax or mail. This is a requisite for publishing your paper.
• Registration Form that must be submitted by fax or mail. The pre-registration fee is applied. For your convinience, you will find a partially filled registration form in an auto-reply mail from our server when you submit your final manuscript (see MVA 2005 final paper submission page). You may fill this form to mail or fax it to us. The authors are obliged to make at least one pre-registration per paper whose registration fee is not refundable. If you pay the registration fee by wire transfer, you must attach a copy of the certificate of wire transfer. This wire transfer must include any extra charges for your manuscript.
  For invited speakers, the committee has different policy. Please read the invitation letter or contact us.
• Session Information
  
  • Poster
    At the conference, a large board will be available for each poster presentation. The board is approximately 1.0 meters wide and 2.1 meters high. Drawing pins and adhesive tape will be provided. Pictures and labels should be large enough to be read at a distance approximately about 2 meters. Layouts on the board will be much to accomplish if sequence and positioning are determined in advance. Each poster will be displayed on the specified day. Authors must their poster's location for discussion during at least the specified period. The date and time will be indicated in the conference program.
  • Oral
    The planned time assigned for your presentation is 20 minutes including discussions.
    Only PC Projector is available.
    Almost all IBM-compatible PC and Mac with resolutions of 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 and/or 1280x1024 are available. You must bring your PC with DB15HD. Ordinary OHP and VCR (NTSC/PAL) are not available.
  • Invited Talk
    The planned time assigned for your talk is 60 minutes including discussions; this allotment is three times as much as that of the ordinary paper presentation.
    Equipments are available as same as the ordinary paper presentation.
