Machine Vision and Applications
MVA Organization

Call for proposals for the organization of the 12th MVA (MVA 2011)

MVA, the IAPR Conference on Machine Vision Applications, is a scientific meeting that has been organized every two years in Japan by respected researchers from both industry and academia.

To extend its international activities both in terms of participants and hosting body, MVA looks for an attractive venue outside Japan for the first time in the series of meetings. The organizers of MVA 2011 will be globally called and then selected by the MVA Organization, which consists of the representatives of previous MVA organizers.

If you are willing to organize MVA 2011 as the general chair, please send your proposal by email to the address at the end of this message.

The candidates will be asked by the MVA Organization to present their proposal at MVA 2009 where the final decision will be taken and announced. Program chair(s) will need to be approved by the MVA Organization, so please discuss your preferred candidates in advance.

Please address the following issues in your proposal:
  1. Dates: conference, submission, notification, fit with other international/regional conferences ?
  2. Venue: number of seats, poster area, exhibition space, hotels, etc.
  3. People: program chair candidate(s), organization committee, etc.
  4. Budget: registration fee, financial guarantees, etc.
  5. Travel: connections, etc.
  6. Industrial sponsorship, if any.
The number of participants at previous MVA has been approximately 200-250.

We are looking forward to your proposals.
